The Tobacco Control Resource Centre (TCRC)
The Tobacco Control Resource Centre works in partnership with national medical
associations across Europe, supporting them in their efforts to educate their
members, help patients and inform public policy with respect to tobacco. It also
acts a resource for individual doctors who are interested or involved in tobacco
control. Although the main focus of the TCRC is the European medical profession,
much of its work is also relevant to health workers and tobacco control advocates
throughout the world.

The American Lung Association's booth will contain the latest information

American Medical Association
The SmokeLess States National Tobacco Prevention and Control Program funds
coalitions in 27 states and two cities that work to promote public awareness
of the dangers of tobacco use, educate about long term policy options to
reduce tobacco use, and enhance local prevention and treatment programs. The
program is a collaborative effort between The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation
and the American Medical Association.

Arizona Prevention Resource Center
The Arizona Tobacco Information Network (ATIN) consists of a statewide
network of partners and community local projects working togehter to
promote tobacco prevention, education, and cessation services. The program
includes library and bulk literature services, technical assistance and training,

Office on Smoking and Health
The CDC Office on Smoking and Health is the Federal government's primary source of public and
professional information on tobacco use and health. Encouraging young people not to use
tobacco is a major focus of the Office on Smoking and Health (OSH) information and education
programs. Videos, posters, facts sheets, and other materials will be available. The Centers
for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Office an Smoking and Health worked with the states
in developing a Youth Tobacco Survey (YTS). OSH also collaborated with the World Health
Organization (WHO) and representative countries in developing a Global Youth Tobacco Survey (GYTS).
These surveys help states and countries improve their capacity to design, implement, and
evaluate their tobacco prevention and control programs.

European Network on Young People and Tobacco (ENYPAT)
ENYPAT contriubutes to the reduction of tobacco use among young people
through European-wide collaboration, information exchange, programme building and
policy development. ENYPAT coordinates tobacco-related programmes concerning
young people financed by the European Commission.
