The Institute for Epidemiology and Prevention Research GmbH receives institutional funding by the State of Bremen. On the other hand the institute raises research funds from national and international public authorities (Federal Government, Federal States, European Commission) , from the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft/DFG) as well as from professional associations, health insurance companies, foundations, and private enterprises.
